I've been watching their build for like 10 years. People were commenting on Project Binky the other day that when they started watching it, their kids were in pre-school, and now those same kids are in college. lol

But there's no better Mini Cooper build on the planet. Those two are nutso with fabrication and perfection of it.

I watched a bunch of the videos and the fab they do is awesome! Very cool seeing that kind of work being done. I am kind of hurrying on my project because I have wanted to build this car for years. Some of the sheet metal doesn't fit perfectly and will need extra welds and seamsealer on it. But, it's all getting covered up anyway

Transmission tunnel and floor finished, and I mounted the AC unit

If you don’t mind answering. What’s the budget for this build?

I don't mind. So far I believe I have spent around $8-10K, and I'm expecting to easily spend another $5k on wheels, tires and brakes, and then probably another $5k on the engine/turbo.

Individual parts are cheap, but they add up when you are building an entire car.

I'm running into the same thing with my utility trailer rebuild/upgrade. I now see why they charge so much for those off road trailers. It's not just the parts but the man hours!

You should wipe your feet before getting in to the car. LOL

It's nice to watch this thing come along.

Yeah hours add up as well. Not sure how many I'll spend on this project. I've probably averaged 3 hours a day since about May

Ha I just noticed the footprint. My garage is usually a mess after working on it, not surprised there's dirty footprints. They're all over my house as well.

My credo
Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
Idk much about fiats, and I know that after all this work you definitely wont.. BUT.. is this a car you could sell when it's done and make money on it? Or are you gonna be well upside down on it.

All that metal work looks beyond awesome.
