Yes, car will be solid white. Ford Oxford White, to be exact. Using the same color that I used on my truck.

Gold would be cool! I was also considering a primer grey color, which is what I think I'll paint the engine with, since that was what the original Fiat engine was

There are a bunch of interesting OEM spins on "Primer Gray" out right now too.

Nice.... I don't make it that way very often much anymore now the my in-laws passed away. I made it to Cars and Coffee at Traverse Mountain in June, LOL. Might go again this Saturday.

Primer grey it is!

I didn't know about the cars and coffee thing, I may have to come by. If my little brother isn't working he'd love to see your Mustang, he loves them.

If he's achieving those welds with a Chicago Flux rig.... he definitely deserves some sort of Nobel prize.

I did see something on YouTube about how to convert the cheapo HF Flux welders from DC to AC (mabey the other way around) internally, and how that'll give you a WAY cleaner weld. 100$ or so in various parts and some DIY time.

I'd like to attempt it myself, but, much like air conditioning systems... I find electricity to be witchcraft. Totally beyond me. I'll just borrow my buddys Hobart whenever I need a quality looking weld.

I hear one of the biggest problems with the harbor freight welders is the wire that usually comes with it. I've been told if you buy some name brand welding wire it helps a lot with the bird poop.

I got an Everlast PowerArc 160i tig

It's taken some getting used to, but honestly I feel like Tig is easier than Mig once you get a handle on it, at least when it comes to making nice and clean welds. I do have a Chicago 180 amp Mig that's been working well for about 7-8 years. I've replaced the gun, ground and fan on it so far.

Well I've always had gas with that welder, so it wouldn't have been flux wire. I was fortunate to be taught how to stick weld by an old master welder years and years ago, so I've been welding in general for a really long time.

Starting to look like a car again
