Another great pickup song "Classified" by C.W. McCall. I lived this song - well save for the dog named Frank.

Bob M. ran the Skelly filling station located next to my Dad's shop in rural small town Nebraska. This would have been around 1965 when Bob asked me, a high school senior, to go with him. He was buying a pickup from one of the local farmers and needed me to drive his car back to the station after he bought the pickup truck.

Turned out to be around a 1950-52 Chevy, straight six, setting out in the chicken yard where, from the looks of it, truck had been setting for some time. Ol'Bob poured in 5 gal of gas, put in a battery, and damned if that truck didn't fire right up!

Later I found Bob back at the gas station rubbing chicken sh*t off a fender. When I looked askance, Bob said "A thing of beauty is a joy forever."
