did some dirt work today, lot of work, and chains located with tillers on a tractor make quite the racket . There's a before, after, chain and where the dirt went picture. Where the dirt went was climbable with the tractor before but not mowable with the tractor or riding mower but in theory should be mowable with either now...

What do the chains do? Break up the dirt more?

They hide in the ground and let you know you found something that shouldn't have been there

Adding to the shed to add a lean to for the boat and other stuff like the tiller to free up room in the shop and help things live longer... and a short lean to on the end for firewood which should hold almost 2 cord...

Still have to figure out a way to get that tree stump out and I forgot to pull a T post...

The little birds aint so little now. They are finally now going out into the run.

Not so farm related but cleaned up around my fire pit and outdoor gym a little and wanted to be able to enjoy the fires this fall. Added some sand(still need a little more) and a steal of a deal on some turf fescue so I can sit and relax. Looking forward to a fire and a bourbon drink!

I made some progress in the garden. It's almost usable now. I still need about 80 block to complete the retaining wall part of the project. I just ran out of steam while moving the dirt.

Ok, here's some pics of what I've been up to... If you scroll up you see a before pic of the same area (you know, the previously known as after pic... )

Then there's the fun stuff I found in that pile of dirt (just a small sample, way more rocks to sort out, that was just the top easy rocks)

Then there's the supervision I had while working that day (I refer to them as Steve and Steve 2, Steve 2 is newer and don't see her too often):

Then the next day after I moved more and flattened it out, and the dirt I moved over to the pond berm:

Then the cute little stump I fought yesterday, no wonder I wasn't having any luck at all pulling the thing over last year even with my F350 with camper on it... turns out it was like 12" diameter and was really trying to be a tree...

Then we finally get to today where we got to by the end of the day with the lean to for the boat, we went a bit overkill and that's 4x6's and they'll have 4x6's sitting on top of them with 2x6 rafters like the one next to it:
