In this episode, Sarah predicts the weather and cleans the engine before paint prep. One goes better than the other.

Sarah has her neighbor, Fred, from U Wrench Garage repair/replace the bed corners of her Ranger.
Lots of step by step with explaining along the way.

Reminds me of old 1970s episodes of the "Sonny & Cher Show".

My credo
Doing things wrong, until I get it right.
I never knew there was a specific bit for spot welds. I just pop a small hole in it then use the step down bit.

I'll have to admit, videography wise, she gets better with each video edit.

She also reminds of my stepmom's friend Debbie. A perpetual drunken lady that I used to confuse with Cher, when I was a pre-teen.

Fun fact: Due to having to film this, it took Sarah 17 hours to detail her Ranger. She said it would've only been around ten if she didn't film it.
Only ten? That's real dedication! Mine was 18 years old when I got it. It was pretty bad. I did not have a vast array of cleaners so I used rubbing alcohol on the fabrics.

I only have patience to spend a hour on detailing. Maybe a hour and a half if feeling it.

I'm a lot like Sarah. Call it OCD as she does. Or explain her passion by way of "Grams" who taught her to drive on the Ranger.

Personally I think the psychology of detailing and restoration goes down even deeper. There's something very special about our little old trucks, the same reason why we all keep coming back to The Ranger Station. It's a very loveable ride.

The upholstery had both food stains and some grease. I cleaned it in maybe a half a dozen passes using rubbing alcohol and a sponge. I prefered alcohol because there is a strange chemistry connected with soap deposits. They actually bond with dirt when they dry. Pardon the floor right now. It's been a couple weeks since I cleaned it.

Sarah detailed a paint job in another video. Months ago, I applied 2 ceramic coats on the paint job. Because I live up north, I also applied several coats of a product known as Salts Gone on the paint and underneath. Even now after a couple months of winter and a fine salt spray, you can still see a mirror like reflection in this photo of my tailgate.

Thanks a lot for posting these episodes. They are fun!

I'm glad you enjoy them.

Thank you for summing up the thoughts so well. " There's something very special about our little old trucks, the same reason why we all keep coming back to The Ranger Station. It's a very loveable ride. "

Replacing the fasteners on the engine, highlights of the insides of the engine, and going OEM on this episode. Plus get your tin foil hats ready!
