I have been on the hunt for an affordable alternative to the spendy and unreliable braided extended brake lines. I was able to find a page about extended brake lines(http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/ReplacementBrakeLine_Front.shtml), but found that it was lacking the year, model, or drivetrain of the vehicles these options work on.
The part numbers listed all have fitting sitting sizes of a 10mm banjo fitting on one end, and a 3/8-24 female fitting on the other.
When I looked up my truck(97 2wd Ranger) I found that my fittings are a .375 banjo fitting and 3/8-24 female. The factory hose length is 13.625".
I found that a 2002 Ford F-250 SD 2wd 5.8efi has the same fittings. The passenger side hose is 20.25" and costs about $15 at AutoZone. So order two of them and for thirty bucks you'll have roughly 6.5" longer lines.
AutoZone part number 71061
