I have a 5.0L (not Explorer 5.0L) swapped in my 87 BII 4X4. I used the stock Explorer 5.0L cast iron exhaust manifolds and they work great for me. Only issue I have is the plug wire(s) keep burning on the exhaust manifold (mostly passenger side). I've tried wires with various boot angles as well as heat shields placed over the wires.

For those of you who used the stock Explorer cast iron exhaust manifolds on your 302/5.0L swap, what plug wires are you using with success? Brand, part#, boot angle, if known would help.

Thanks!
Mark
