I know this has been asked before but can't find a reference. I looked at the tech section and it has great info but since my 94 Splash didn't come with a center console I was wondering how you guys have mounted it to the floor?

I'm thinking sheet metal screws. Is there enough clearance on the trans tunnel for them? She's a manual so I don't see any wiring between the tunnel and the trans.

Any help would be great!!

Are you trying a full center console or just a short center console?

The carpet was already perforated for the cut out and there was already indentions for the screws to go....just used self tapping screws and screwd the brackets into place and it was in.

The short as shown above. Looks like I got my answer! Thanks Guys! Got too sweet a deal. Complete console, only a few vinyl cracks on the arm rest $30. It's now black like the rest of the interior. I'll have the arm rest recovered in a few months.

I drilled holes and used nuts and bolts for mine, I had to shim the front mount with 1" square tube places because my standard cab Ranger has a different floor profile than an Explorer. It also came out to sit higher than it was in an Explorer, apparently the tranny hump is taller too. Still a comfy arm rest, I love finally having a real console.
