OK has any body changed out there exhaust on these new generations Rangers? I was thinking of the Borla exhaust? Then I would do the air box too.

Thanks,

I plan on keeping mine until it rots out. Then I’ll think about it. Just keep in mind that it’s a four cylinder and a lot of the “performance” exhausts are made for ricers who love their fart cans.

if I do change the exhaust it will need to wait until the warranty is over, dont want to upset FORD if there is an issue.
I must say the exhaust sound for this 4 cyl engine does not do anything for me, tinny/ricer sounding........

My credo
If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
Changing the exhaust won't "void" the warranty, any failures blamed on the modification could/probably would be denied. The power an Ecoboost 4 makes indicates to me that the exhaust breathed OK, please don't make it sound like a weed whacker.

I just accepted the fact it's a four banger and is never going to have a good exhaust note like a V-6 or V-8 will give you.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

Not quite fart can but it's almost there. To each their own.

Agreed. Sounds horrible. But what they heck, I guess some folks like the sound.. reminds me of the last time we went to the zoo.

Fake duals... on a 4 cylinder. :icon_confused:

I can guarantee they will all sound worse than the stock muffler.
