so i have heard they moved the width restriction from 72" to 80" but they have now put poles up to stop wider rigs from going down the trails. i have heard that they got poles up now but i am wondering is this every trail up there that is limited of just certin ones, if you can get by them without going around them and making a trail can you run them, if so you can get by them say over one post or go diagonal and get threw them will they pull out a tape measure and measure your width and give you a fine. i think 80" inchs is stupid even a mid size with big tires wont fit. any help would be great want to go and run the trails but dont want to haul my rig up there and waist half a day and half a tank of fuel just to find out i can run the trails

I was up there a couple weeks ago. The poles they put in are pretty narrow. My ranger barely fit but I am not really sure how wide it is. My buddy had to fold in the mirrors on his grand cherokee to get through them. I don't know what trails they have this set up on. When I was there last I think it was just the 311 but I saw them laying around on others waiting to go in the ground.

The ones that I saw were below my side mirrors. 54 " maybe.

The poles are set at 80in a few are 79.5in, if you by-pass them you will get ticketed. No restrictions at Elbe and Walker Valley.

so they are out there with tape measures measuring rigs if they think they are over the width. i under stand if you go around the poles then you diserve more then a ticket cause you are ruining it for everyone but will they ticket you if you are over the 80" and did go between the poles. i can see this place staying open for another 5 years and thats it and how long tell they start doing this bullsh!t at other orv parks i know tahuya is at 96" but even a full size on 44s will fit. so what is there whole thought behind this width idea. do they think it is going to save trees or something.

The width restriction has been on the book forever, just is being enforced again. Evan's is Federal controlled, Tahuya, Elbe and Walker are state controlled.

Busy was recently logged, will be beat back into shape soon. Evans is tighter than Elbe, we have taken F-250, and K-5 Blazers through Elbe. Might get a few dents but is doable:icon_hornsup:
