Sorry, no, Evans Creek just up the road from Wilkeson/Carbonado, WA. The dead end logging road that goes up to Mowich Lake.

Depends on the weather if I go. Got a jet boat I need to use this summer, if we ever start getting a summer.

That's the weekend after my birthday, so I'll probably be up there. Assuming I can afford a rear driveshaft by then.

Edit: holy crap, you're in carbonado too???

My cousin bought a house there in January, so I moved in with him. Have you seen my Ranger/ Probe, or my cousins white and silver Ram, or his subi with 3 KC's on the front (we were cruizin around town with his doors off a couple weeks ago)?

driveshafts are cheap if you have the ends and just need a tube welded between them. Its the freakin ends that are spendy. Ive got 300 into my B2 2wd driveline. If I had the ends, it would have been about 60 bucks.

Im on the outskirts of town, but I do have my PO box in town, but Im only there about 2 times a week. Otherwise I hardly ever go into town, although the saloon is open again, so had the choptop there the other day for dinner and a beer.

Im trying to get the choptop to idle right and then I might go. Dont know if I will run any trails tho. No cage, no winch, and rotten tires. Id only be in the way.

Right in town off the highway.
I have the ends. I did a doubler, so I'm taking a 2 piece shaft, and shortening it into a 1 piece shaft. But I need a new tube to do that.
My cousin paid 300 for a full shaft for his dodge. I'm gonna call some shops once I have the money.

(I'd go to the saloon, but ya can really go in being 18, haha.)

ahh, yeah, there is the whole 21 and over thing. Theres a great big hole in the fence, you could just stand on one side of it and still be legal right?

Try Aukeen in Auburn/kent. He's just up the road from what used to be the old Boeing Surplus building. Only takes cash or check, but you bring him the ends, and tell him how long center to center or flange face to flange face or whatever and if its just a new tube, weld, balance, then it shouldnt be more than a hundred bucks or so. Your only paying for like an hour labor and a couple feet of tube.

If your buying a complete new shaft with new ends and everything, then yes, 300+ is not out of line.

I called up Aukeen driveshaft this morning. I'm taking my flanges down to him in the morning, so it will have my end flanges with all new u-joints and shaft, and he said 375-400 as a rough price.

So, if all goes smooth, I'll be at Evans on the 24 for the fun run.

There was a few people up there!
Me and my cousin went up with our bikes, and ended up running the 311 in his Ram. It fit without hitting a single tree, root, or even a scratch.

I didnt make it. Took the jetboat out and played at Mayfield lake all day.

I see the forest service is now requiring you to carry a map with you at all times now when on the trails. They are going to stop marking the trail system with vehicle signs and its up to you to know if your on a legit trail or not.
