Hi, I am new to this forum and it is a great resource. I have a 2004 Ranger XLT 4X4 with a 4.0 and 135K. I was having to push pretty hard to get it into gear so I finally changed out the clutch and changed the transmission fluid. I am working in my shop on the floor and when I pushed the transmission back on I crushed the harness side 02 sensor connector in between the transmission and the engine. It was totally destroyed, I ordered a new connector on a pigtail and am going to try to splice it in. It is one of the upstream cat o2 sensors. The check engine light came on when I started it up for a test. I was hoping my truck wouldn't notice one missing o2 sensor! Has anyone else had this problem and made this repair. I also didn't notice a significant change with the clutch, could the tranny be going at 135K? One problem at a time though!
Thanks in advance!
