Yesterday I dumped $400 worth of new AC parts into my 89 Bronco II. After a few hours of turning wrenches and drawing a vacuum I hooked the refrigerant tank and went to turn the system on. The compressor clutch would not engage.

I've done the Explorer 4.0 swap.

Tested for power, there is no power to the compressor.

WOT relay is good. All fuses are good.

Control unit turns on, blower motor works.

My heater works.

Everything is new except the evaporator and the two switches (on the drier and high pressure line).

Tested for power and ground, no power at all at the compressor or two switches.

Can anyone maybe point me in the right direction?

Power for the compressor runs from the cab control panel thru each switch and to the WOT Relay then to the Compressor.

Fuse--------AC ON/OFF-----------Cycling switch-----Pressure cut off switch----------WOT Relay---------Compressor-----Ground

I would start with cycling switch, turn AC on and see if there is 12volt on one of its wires, if so fuse and ON/OFF switch are good, if not then find the fuse.

If you have 12volts then plug that switch back in and move to the next switch, ect......

Thanks. I'll give it a go tomorrow.
