Will probably just T it and run both senders for temp and oil pressure

A "T" won't work for Temp, just for pressure

I can tap into someplace else for temp

And just curious but why won't a T work for Temp if both senders are making contact with the coolant

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
The tee will introduce a cavity that will have stagnant or semi-stagnant coolant in it. For the proper reading, you want the face of the sender directly in contact with the moving coolant.

Yes, you need CIRCULATING coolant to get acutate temp

You can install something like this on a heater hose: https://www.raceplumbing.net/assets/images/product/ATM2282.jpg

Or like this on Rad hose: https://www.raceplumbing.net/assets/images/product/ATM2283.jpg

Rad hose temp sender only reads temp of coolant flowing to or from radiator, which is good for e-fans but not so much for dash gauges

Heater hose warms up with the engine so a better choice for a gauge sender.

Remember sender needs to be GROUNDED to work, and rubber hoses are not good grounds, lol, which is why these usually have a ground screw

You also mount these so sender is side ways or down, incase there is air in the system, sender can't read air temp well

Which is another reasons "T" doesn't work well, if its at a high point it WILL get air inside and it can't get out

I have an airlift which sucks all of the air out of the cooling system and puts it under a vacuum.... So air is not an issue for me lol ?

OK came up with a solution for the temp sender for the gauge I am adding. All I did was to just drill and tap lower intake about 1 inch from the factory temp sender. So it is in the same coolant flow as factory sender.

I know I'm late to the party here, but you can put a T on the oil pressure port. You can't double up for the temp gauge, that sensor needs to be down in the flow of the coolant or it doesn't read accurately.

Thread was pretty much dead already just figured I'd share my solution with everyone..

My solution puts sender in the same coolant flow that factory sender is in.
And oil pressure gauge will be T Ed
