1992 RangerXLT with 2.3L engine. Looking for location of EECM, trying to aquaint myself with recently acquired vehicle. Have Electrical & Vacuum troubleshooting factory manual, but does not show the location. Possibly under dash inside? Not under hood on driver side against firewall where I've seen it located on other rangers.Already know ICM location. Thanks

My credo
If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
If it's the same as my 93, it's located between the master cylinder and fender, recessed into the firewall. Mine now resides in the scrap pile at the transfer station.

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
The EVTM should show it. There's a section in the back with sketches if the truck and all thepart locations pointed out. They call it the Powetrain Control Module, PCM.

For example, for my 93...

This page shows you what page and where on that page to find the PCM connector. The PCM will ne attached to that connector. I did just notice that, although the connector is shown on each of those pages, my EVTM only has the actual conne tor number and arrow on one of the pages.

So, on page 151-1, go down the left side to the letter "B". Then follow horizontally across from the "B" until you get to column 9. There is the callous for connector 279, PCM and the arrow points to the part.

Try behind the passenger kick panel.
