I bought a complete exhaust kit from rock auto a few weeks back (ap brand) It went together well and seems to work. Got a used manifold from fleabay, the truck has never been this quiet since ive had it.

Crossed threads are tight threads.
I been having good luck with the fleabay lately. I think a lot of the yahoos went over to FB marketplace and offerup...and all the artsy fartsy's went over to etsy.

CL is still terrible. 99% spam and scam.

Thanks @jerkyboyxiii for forwarding me to this thread, this was great info! I mainly just had some questions surrounding Ranger headers, how are they holding up, is there any noticeable power gain? In your videos it looks like you have the muffler and headers I was looking at, but the links for the catalytic converters were different, mine look more like this one:

From my other thread, my main goal was to free up enough airflow so I could tune my truck without having a stock exhaust holding back potential. Was thinking about high-flow cats, but not sure. Don't know much about exhausts 😅
Edit, also, what is the diameter of the new catalytic converter piping? thanks

Im unsure of the OD for the cats, but i believe the Y was 2". The ebay cats have very little honeycomb inside. Your setup would be easier it seems bc it is in two pieces. Mine had to be cut n re-fabbed inn order to fit, keeping in mind that I had to maintain clearance for the front driveshaft. No great power increase, but they look nice:) I have a bad vibration bc I lifted the truck by using the torsion bars n aftermarket keys. I am having a lift kit installed that will lift it correctly. I dont have many miles on the truck since the exhaust, so I cant attest to the durability of the headers. They have a nice feel to them, however. Everything sealed up nicely and the welds dont leak at the collector or any where else.

Thanks for the reply, I was also thinking about buying stand-alone cats and welding them to the current pipes, mine don’t really have much rust except just surface rust. I have pretty rough ride but I didn’t lift mine, and I wouldn’t have to worry about the front driveshaft either. But as for the headers I might give them a shot.

If you dont use the egr ports, youll need to cap them. The s/s caps i used are mentioned in my original thread.

It’s looking like it will just line up on my truck, is there a benefit to not using the EGR system?

I am of the mindset that youre not introducing dirty, hot air back into your intake. Many debates have been had regarding egr blockoff. I have yet to pop a CEL, but I dont have too many miles on the new setup yet. Lights dont bother me; I just check them every other week n delete them as necessary. I will end up running a Superchips Tuner Flashpaq F5 eventually (1845 is the non-CA part number iirc). I wont have to borrow a tuner from my other vehicles just to clear the code.
