I like mine a lot but I replace the Dynomax Turbo muffler with a Flowmaster 44. Sounds great and the stainless tip looks great too.

I picked up the muffler alone and got some pre-bent pipes from my job and did it custom to where it dumps out in front of the rear tire. ill get some pics up when I have the chance to. It deff adds some rumble but its not setting off any car alarms.

Well here is the sound after a year or so...

For you guys worried about rust I reccomend painting the exhaust. I live up in Alaska where we have salted and calcium sand covered roads folr about 8 months out of the year and it hasn't started rusting.

2 Weeks after I installed it I put on High Heat paint and it has yet to start rusting.

I dont think they have the rabate anymore. i got mine summer of last year but i would not buy one i put it on my truck and it sounded like crap. I have the 4.0 and i even had headers and no cat on it and it still sounded like crap and i cant not wait to rip it off and put a flowmaster on it. plus mine did not come with the pipe that goes from the cat to the muffler and mine was about shot. so all i got was a muffler and a tailpipe.

It varies by year as well. Mine is 2.5" with the mid pipe to the cat, muffler and the tail pipe. Also by having header and removing the cat really changes the sound. LIke ALOT!

If anyone is interested, I just installed my Ultra Flo system today. I plan on trying to get some video after a few miles on this system.

FYI, the OP has the 17315, not the 39315. 17315 is no longer in production, and is the super turbo system. 39315 is a full stainless system, with lifetime warranty.

Just installed Dynomax 17317 system on my 2001 Ranger 2.5.

Fits perfect, the clamps sealed just fine, but I'm going to take to a muffler shop & get it welded.

Very mild sound, just deeper in pitch than stock. You definately have more power, especially highway passing power.

Dynomax has the $75 rebate going now!

3 year update, the Dynomax 17317 system is holding up fine. You do have to buff the stainless tip about once a year with a metal polishing mandrel & compound.

If you have a lot of miles, I'd suggest you replace the upstream O2 sensor when you upgrade the exhaust - an old high mile, O2 sensor tends to run lean, then the free flow exhaust makes that worse & you loose a lot of torque. A new O2 sensor made a night/day difference !
