dual T-case in a B II

im in the process of building my B II and have been wanting to do a dual T-case, but im concerned about the rear driveshaft. its already short, and im swapping to an 8.8, which is gonna shorten it more. add 3" of suspension lift and the angle will get pretty severe. i was wondering what OP are doing to make this work. i was planning to make a crossmember that will lower the trans/t-case. it will be street driven on a regular basis, including some highway driving. i just dont want to spit the driveshaft out frequently!

Plenty of length available (should end up around 25" or so if you have a M5OD in there). Just be sure to use a double-cardan style rear driveshaft and tip the rear pinion up a bit toward your t-case if needed.

ok, thanks. yes, putting in M5OD. was planning to lower t-case/trans, and tilt rear diff to match angles. i am planning to run the rubicon trail next year. i plan to drive there and back, and im nearly at the canadian border. yes, i will carry a spare axle for each corner and spare driveshafts for both ends! and a set of hubs. anything else i should bring?

^^ what he said plus an extra cooler of beer might need to offer someone on the trail a cold beer when they are helping you fix your rig. Plus you can't have too much beer!

agreed! i will be driving it conservatively, i will need it to get me home! i am going to trail test it locally, at walker valley. tons of videos of this place on youtube, check them out!
i will hopefully find any weak spots there, only a half hour from home(unless i have to walk). im making my own long radius arms, but still deciding what to do with rear suspension for more flex. im leaning toward triangulated 4-link and coils. if i had the money, i would go coil overs
