Has anyone used this exhaust from LMC on a 2.3? Does it sound like crap? I don't need or expect performance gain but like the look of duals.

Four-bangers sound like crap. The Lima's we have just happen to be the best of the bunch, IMO. But still, eww.

And why are you going to do duals on a Lima? It's not necessary at all. Dynomax and Heartthrob offer cat-backs (I have the latter of the two) that sound all-right, they're certainly better than a glass-pack or straight-pipes, though.

As I said, I like the look of duals under the rear bumper. What I really need for it to sound right is a stock dual out muffler then the pipes. The last thing I want is for it to sound like a Neon with a fart can. Stock quiet is what I want but the duals. 19.5 years old and the stock exhaust refuses to wear out. :icon_confused::icon_rofl:

BTW-LMC has crappy tech support.

its odd i HATE loud 4 bangers, but the magnaflo on mine and other 4cyl rangers does not sound bad, altho my friend had a 1990 with the 8 spark plugs that had 2 glass packs and we nick named it "the cannon" for sounding like a HUGE LOUD fart cannon, i mean it was loud

there is something about the head design i guess that makes them not as bad as other 4cyls

Not as good as the Lima, but not bad.

They can sound very ricey with poor exhaust systems.

I had that exhaust on my old 97 2.3, bought it used from the junkyard, the packing in the tips came out so there wasn't any muffler besides magnaflow cat and stock 4-1 header, of course digital camera did no justice to the sounds
