Hey guys. I have the two piece rear driveshaft. The back ujoint gets ate about twice a year because its a hair too long and im thinking its putting a bind on it. Without having it shortened, is it feasible to knock about 1/4 to 1/2 inch off the driveshaft spline piece or would that cause breakage or other problems? tia

i have to wonder what you did to your suspension that would cause your slip yoke to bottom out...

before you assume the slip yoke is the problem, i would check your driveline angle. the 2-piece drivelines do not take well to being lifted. your problem may be that the u-joint is out of its operating range...in which case you need to start looking for a 1-piece.
