I am in the process of rebuilding a 302 out of 1974 ford maverick. I am going to buy the d35 and explorer 8.8 from a friend for $300 and I was planning on buying a m50d-r2 with the stock f150 transfer case. I already know I have to shorten the drive shafts. My question is what mods do I have to do to make a stock f150 shafts fit the 8.8 and the d35 or what do I have to do to make my stock shafts fit the T case?

I would think the drive line from the truck would be good as they came with 8" rears also.Change the yoke if need be.When I looked into this it was the length that concerned me.The F-150 drive train is about a foot longer than the Ranger set up.Doesn't leave much drive line for a B2.

F150s use an 8.8 rear, so I would guess that flange is the same as the Explorer flange.
