Long ago I had a set of Doug Thorley tri-y headers on my (gasp!) Chevelle. The quality and durability impressed me, but more than that, my car had a unique sound AND burned less gas per mile after the installation.

So . . . I was looking to do something about the pathetic fuel economy of my newly acquired Sport Trac and came across THIS page:

https://www.dougthorleyheaders.com/products/productID/1074

Yes, that's right . . . You can get a brand new set of fully warranted Doug Thorley headers for your 4 liter Ranger or Explorer for $130.00. :icon_bounceblue:

I splurged for the set. It's hard to go wrong for that price!

I wonder how many sets they have being on CLOSEOUT. That's one hell of a price.

No need to be ashamed of having a Chevelle. Now, if you had a Chevette, that might be something worth covering up.

I don't know. I spoke to the salesman over the phone this morning (his name was Mike), but I didn't think to ask. Get 'em while they're hot!

I would think that the reason it's dated to 97 is cause that's when the SOHC started getting used in the explorers??? Why wouldn't these fit an OHV?
