theres really a group of a dozen or so that gave a rip about the forum project of moving the banner.

i am not one of them.

but reviewing the thread, i am certain doorgunners enthusiasm and cheerleading is the primary driver to keep me interested and prompting me to monitor this thing and for absolutely certain get involved.

site wide he is a positive motivator and a high spirit and i would like to personally thank him for keeping this place lit up.

he kept the forum project active and current more then any other as far a i can tell. just search the post counts...:icon_surprised:

so thank you sir, your service to the country via our military, and your positive influence to this board is greatly appreciated by myself and my family.

i hope to see ya round here for many many moons to come.:icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

mods....if this is the wrong place, i am sorry. move it to whereever...

yep.....and here we have the dirty dozen.

the alaska and canada guys were the point of this run as they were passed over last time....and you guys were on it....i think it was a great effort and even better because it took o long to happen....a slow relentless march....even if it was glacial.

since it went across once already i wonder if that was why the lower 48 took it for granted this time...

but if i had to blame one guy....

Has the banner still not made its full journey yet? I remember signing that like 4 years ago on my way back from college

Yeah, the journey is done. Bobbywalter has it stashed away somewhere. He's waiting for ransom from Jim before he'll return it.

Credit goes to everybody that moved it. Problem is that we have so many inactive members on the board. They step up and say they want to move it, but when crunch time comes they are no where to be found, in a few cases taking the banner with them. It happened everywhere, no one portion of the country can take the blame.

This is just my opinion, but I think the biggest mistake was when it left Canada and went back to the west coast. Too much back tracking going on. The point was to get from point a to point b through member hands, not to bounce around the continent and be signed by as many as possible. Get it from point A to point B. If you can get to the banner on it's route, congratz you get to sign. If you can't... sorry, maybe next time.

I've only missed both banner signings so not a big deal if it never makes it to my neck of the woods then so be it...otherwise...it was fun to watch...really!

Nothing like a collective effort and total trust in fellow humans to achieve a goal...

Ya know.........................I was thinking.............................

Those members in Eastern Canada also have begged for the Banner each time it made a tour of the continent.

Maybe Jim could start some Forum advertising to get some dedicated members to sign up......people who wouldn't bailout!

Then the New Banner could do the "Eastern Continental Run"......

How about.....Quebec or Toronto down to Key West?

It could start in the Spring in Canada when the snow has gone.......or start it in Key West?

Might be a good idea...and might generate more interest since Ontario is probably one of the biggest Ford Ranger markets in Canada...or was...

<------- The grand pooba approves of this idea.

I came up with a simple idea to involve the RBV community and people just took off with it. DG being the biggest cheerleader of them all.
