I have a 2003 Ford Ranger XLT Fx4 Offroad ...
I got out of a snow bank with 4wd on since then every time I engaged the 4wd there a loud clunking sound that come from my front left wheel .... It doesn't do it if i'm on 2wd.
I'm wondering what is the problem ?!

I poop in the furnace.
Visit a local church and see if they do exorcisms. The problem is a haunted hub. It's a common issue, demons get in there all the time.

No locking hubs on a 2003...

You sure you didn't tear up a wheel bearing/axle?

Something else... if you shift into 4WD on pavement... and try tight maneuvers... the front end will load up a pop because the tires don't slip. try it in the snow or in the dirt and see if it sounds the same.

You might have a trashed CV... maybe some stripped axle/wheel hub splines. Will probably take pulling it apart a bit to see what's going on.
