Dome light, Door ajar switches, Glove box light, 4wd switch stops working soon as the truck is cranked??

I'm having electrical problems with my 1997 ford ranger. My Dome light, Door ajar switches, Glove box light, 4wd switch stops working soon as you crank up, but will start working soon as you turn it off??? Can anyone please point me in the direction i need to go with locating this problem?

That sounds like a ground issue. Something else is grounding thru those items.

If you have an aftermarket radio, i'd start there.
