i had a customer bring me a pair of 3.0l heads a couple of days ago to magna-flux them and check them for cracks. after putting them in the spray off and then air drying them it was apparent they were no good:icon_rofl:

we did magna flux them just for grins and FWIW the combustion chambers had no cracks:icon_thumby:

first two replies are really not helpful to noone and not really funny. Some people really want honest answers to simple questions.
Can the sarcasm hold off until the question is answered in a helpful manner? Then all the comedians can chime in with their witty replies.
Just my opinion..................

Yea, I wouldn't waste any time or material looking for cracks. The eyeball seems to be good enough.

that's not how we operate here. we are all experts on this site and knew that the head was cracked just by reading the name of the thread, pictures were not necessary
