We're back from our annual deer hunting trip.
6 guys.
18 deer.
2.5 days.

That's good shooting.

Nice, and congrats I just had my first of the season yesterday. Damn college gets in the way of hunting, lousy higher education.

Higher ed. allows you to be able to go hunting later in life. Finish your degree and then you can afford to go hunting more often.

Where the hell did you go? There's nothing around here, damn wolves are killing them off. I wish we could just shoot the ****ers, but apparently someone from 600 miles away wants them to be here.

We were hunting in North Dakota. I gave up MN hunting because there were no deer. You think a 30.06 does a job on a squirrel. You should see what a 300 wsm does to a jack rabbit. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Know that feeling... got out 3 times this year... hoping that I'll get to elk hunt next week between school and work...

Looks like we'll never be friend. Roasts, yes. Send you straps.............HELL NO.

It's fun having muliple tags. You can just keep blasting. The only problem is that the season is over for another year.

I don't hunt but I did almost get one with my car on Monday night anyway. Luckily he stayed in the middle of the road.

I don't hunt but I stick a rifle in the tractor cab with me during gun season.........................

1/2 a mile down the road from me is my buddies deer camp.... they are trying to get 40 deer this year off of my bosses land (he leases it for beer) and I run the beer bus to keep the hunters from getting dui's (i'm going to the liquor store anyways) may as well earn some tips.

It's a good time........ i don't hunt unless they can't meet their quota to break a new record every year, but we always have hellacious grill-outs and monster breakfasts.
This year 2 of the guys are proffessional sponsored archers, they said they can't get me a good deal on a new bow.

Frank

congrats on a successfull "beer camp" excurssion.

I'll take what I can get I guess :icon_rofl: Considering I didn't see a single deer every time I went out... yet there's several 3 and 4 points that just hang out in my front yard... Need to get a bow already.

Maybe the sound of my ranger scares away deer... it doesn't bother elk though. I keep finding them in the middle of the road... until elk season starts that is....

If I shot black powder I could be out there already. But it's too warm - it was near 80 last weekend while I was home. Our rifle season opens 21 November, but I won't be there. I'm holding out until Thanksgiving weekend in the hopes it's colder so the deer move.
