I'm trying to remove the dash on my 1997 Ranger and have gotten stuck. All the screws are removed but there are these plastic tabs on the top by the defroster that will not seperate no matter how much force is used. Anyone have a trick or a tip for me to get this last section seperated.

They are tough, I have done this a few times. I just use a screwdriver to pry up on the black trim piece while pushing up wit the other hand. Start at in the center and work your way to the ends is probably the easiest. BTW there are 3 bolts up top you have to remove(2 behind the cluster and one by the EEC)
