In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
I don't have experience with either of those. But I am using Austin's in my project. The 8.8 was easy to install. Good directions in the kit. I'll be doing the Dana 35 in the next couple weeks, probably right after new years.

That was supposed to read "Aussies"

I run lock-Rights in my Explorer and the front of my Ranger. The Lock-Rights do make a little noise and sometimes they do some popping. Ive had them in my Ranger for close to 17 years now and never had any issues with them. They are fairly easy to install as well. They have half way decent road manners until its slick. The locker in the front makes the truck not want to turn in icy conditions (I usually only run with 1 hub locked in in those cases).

I love my Aussie locked explorer 8.8 thats in my black truck. I'll be installing another in the D35 when funds allow for it.

My Aussie locker has seen some serious abuse and keeps taking it... I'm very glad I got it...

There are a lot of guys up here running Spartan lockers and they seem to be working out great. I would buy one. I have a Lock-rite in my front axle and am very happy with it, the only weak point in them is the pins. And the fact that you have to remove the ring gear from the carrier to install it, but that is a Dana 44 issue, and wouldn't apply to you. :)
