I was going to say if you have the forged end 78-79 D44 you could take the long end off and narrow it to the EB D44 length of 59.5 WMS/WMS.
I have a 79 axle to, but I don't want to run wedges since i have long arms already. From what i remember the earlier axles are easier because the wedges are welded on instead of apart of the C cast? I'm hoping so. I really just don't want this thing to be to wide. I feel its right there right now.

Its kinda hard to tell, but they stick out a lot. lol

My credo
Keep your mind like an umbrella, it only works if its open... Continually learning.
I would have never imagined that. I guess mine are close to that. I'm used to seeing flares which covers about 1-1/2"s of tire.

That was what i was going to do but since Covid no one has any. They are out of stock everywhere. You can find rears but i only need fronts. It sucks!
