Buying D35 reverse cut 4.56 gears for another one of my Rangers and everything listed has a 1.376" pinion stem diameter? I found a 1.406" pinion stem diameter gear set on summit racing when I did my last Ranger and now I cant find a 1.406" diameter pinion stem for the 4.56 gears anywhere?

Every drivetrain and gear site ive been on have the correct diameter listed as 1.406" but every D35 reverse cut ring and pinion set they sell is 1.376" pinion diameter.

Not sure what you're looking at, but the D35 does infact have a 1.406" pinion shaft (both reverse or std gears), there is no other size I'm aware of. The D30 and D44 have 1.376" pinion shafts.

Earlier this year I bought ring and pinion off summit with the correct pinion stem diameter. Now they dont sell that kit anymore and every other site that does has it listed as a 1.376" diameter.

Are 4.56 gears discontinued for the D35 reverse cut? Id like to get my truck together and would rather new gears then used. All the drivetrain shops keep telling me 1.376" is what the diameter is.

Thank you for the link.

I kept the paperwork when I ordered my last gears and used the part number to find it again. Summit had 3 choices 1.375, 1.376, and 1.406 when i last ordered. They dont carry the 1.406 set anymore and that part number on other sites only came up with 1.376 pinion stems.

I dont know much about the reverse cut dana 35 if there is even another application besides Rangers/Explorers/Mazdas of the TTB years. Just want to make sure I get the right parts for the job.
