Also no standing in cold. Charger is in garage so drive onto property, car auto opens garage, pull into garage. Exit car, plug in. Wake up to fully charged car that's also preheated automatically. You don't even have to pull out a key. Just have your phone in pocket and car locks and unlocks automatically.
I would rather have the garage...

And usually most gas vehicles need refueled at about the right time to get out and stretch/take a leak so it isn’t a big deal anyway.

If they made batteries interchangeable and swappable they would largely eliminate the charge time issue. It works for cordless power tools...

Pulling over, getting out of your vehicle and doing stuff is not inconvenient?

Plug takes 1 sec. Unplug takes 1 sec. It's not difficult.

Wrap up cord? For what? I have a 3d printed mount. Unplug from car. Plug into 3d mount on wall. No wrapping cord
I understand how to operate a power cord.

Also no standing in cold. Charger is in garage so drive onto property, car auto opens garage, pull into garage. Exit car, plug in. Wake up to fully charged car that's also preheated automatically. Awesome.

Stupid as hell and totally shows how lazy and helpless people are becoming.

But yeah...awesome.

My 55 year old mustang can be parked in a garage and be warm in the morning? I'm not getting what makes parking an electric car in a garage special? Also... what happens when you lose your cell phone or the battery goes dead? Do you call a tow truck? And I guess if I steal your phone I can get in your car, and then your car will just let me in your house. Police can't do anything because the car let me in... :dunno:

My statement was to indicate no time is spent in the cold fueling up the vehicle.

The key Tesla gives you initally is basically a credit card. This can always be used as backup or primary method to access and drive the car. I have to have a phone for work. Never broken one or lost it.

Worst case scenario, borrow any phone, download app, login to Tesla app and you're ready to go again

BULL:poop:!! If I have to charge the car away from home, you can bet your BUTTTCHEEKS I'll be standing out in the cold to deal with the cord! And I won't be back on the road in five minutes, either.

I have been around enough diesels to know the first cord is rarely long enough...

Oh well my preorder is confirmed. Now just gotta wait 2 years and try to keep miles low on the new Ranger.

No info on how to get the ATV with it but damn I need one.

Rumor is the truck will have solar tonneau cover as option to provide 15 miles of charge a day with foldout wings boosting to 30 or 40 miles of free miles.
