I was involved in a accident recently where they hit my left side of the cab and drivers door. Both were pushed in several inches. Since then I have a problem with my parking brake, (hard to engage) and my cruise control is not working. I can understand the parking brake problem. Could the accident have caused a problem with my cruise control?

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Anything is possible. Maybe a damaged wire or something knocked loose in the fuse block. Sometimes there is a ground connection to the body over in that area. But if a ground connection there is loose, i would expect it to affect more circuits.

My credo
Toonces drives a Ranger . . . . just not very well.
First thing I'd look at would be the vacuum dump valve on the brake pedal; the impact may have unseated it.

I would guess that a wire got pinched and that if parking brake is hard to engage then there might be some hidden damage
