Cruise Control Buttons

Just tried a second set of aftermarket Cruise Control Buttons for my 98 XLT and the right side still does not illuminate. It came with new Harness witch i used. Controls work and left lights up bluish green . Any suggestions or do you know for sure which Amazon or eBay seller has a set that works ?

You mean the buttons are supposed to light up? I had no idea… I don’t ever remember noticing the factory ones being illuminated and always thought that would be a good idea… now I feel cheated, lol

1998 Cruise buttons share the same 12v(dimmable) wire and the same ground for the bulbs from the Clockspring
So if left side bulb is working then 12v and ground is there for the lights

1998 Cruise Diagram below, NCA means no color assigned, just FYI

With key OFF
And Park lights ON, dimmer turned up
There should only be one 12v wire on right hand switch ribbon cable, if its not there then that's the issue
If it is there then test for a Ground on that ribbon cable
If you find both then internal key pad issue

The OEM i pulled out Lit on both sides , this started with the Amazon ones . I see picks others listed by other sellers showing both sides Lit. The sell pics all look like same manufacturer , i even popped the Cover to make sure it had LEDs like the left and it does. Wondering if i should try another seller , was hoping someone here had good luck. Here's a night pic , i have LEDs in all Dash bulbs to.
