It varies by employer, I believe. I need to double check mine. I know at least 3 days since last fever is part of my requirements. I might have to have a negative test, also, which would make sense.
From my experience, that still sounds like the 6 day mark. From what I've seen, if you get a fever, it takes about 2-3 days for it to break. Of course, I'm not a doctor and I have not stayed in a Holiday Inn Express. So... Lots of salt to go with that I suppose.

the wiffie has it, I'm next.
so far her's is similar to a bad cold.
Same happened to us last January. We're both vaccinated, wife got it first so at least she couldn't blame me.
Like a bad cold for five days. Got ten days off work until I tested negative.

so far it's like a medium/bad cold. no major body aches or chills. slight energy drop.
wife had chills , more energy drop and can't smell/taste anything.
I ran some errands today, avoiding people.
we're both on a 3 pack of pills, should be OK soon.

I just did from the 14th to the 25th in icu for covid pnueminia, covid sepsis, and typhus. All as one fun party.

Ask to pass. Just tell them you heard it wasnt all that and would like to return your ticket. It really sucked.

I thought i wasnt going to make it. Neither did any of my medical friends who came to see me. My wife thought i was going to die and m parents and her stayed at the hospital with me.

Luckily god listens to prayers and people have learned alot of scientific stuff. I made it out and am still here. 7 doctors said they had never seen anyone come back from the point i was at and every nurse i had in both the hospital here in corpus, who said i was past what they could handle and shipped me to austin, and the nurses in austin, plus the three er rooms prior to going in, have all called me to see if i am alive. They all said they were very worried and wanted to see if i was able to pull through.

Pass on it

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
I think I'm going to return to work on Saturday. The congestion is clearing up. I have had some "brain fog". Not sure if it was Covid or Dayquill/Nyquill - induced. But I noticed I was feeling better mentally today.

Officially, I don't have to retest or even test negative to return. To quote my supervisor " The policy loosely says no medicine to reduce cough or fever for 36hrs and no retest required." Before returning to work. WTF? OK. So I didn't take any medicine today. I still haven't had a fever and I'm coughing equal or less than what is normal due to my allergies.

Long Covid is of concern. Was reading that some suffering from it only had a mild case of Covid.

Me too. I didnt want to die yet.

Its been a new world afterwards though. I lost 25 pounds and its hard to walk farther than the mailbox or speak above a whisper. It took a few days to be able to eat without throwing up. My arms and legs looks like spaghetti and i have hardly any muscle anymore. I think that is what is making walking so hard is how much muscle i lost.

I went from 205 at the start to 179 today. And i really have to cinch the belt to hold the pants on.

I havent even tried to drive the good ol ranger. It been hard enough driving an auto, so far. I need to start uer and move her though because she is getting covered in tree crap.

wow, not sure what to say about that. hope you have a good recovery.
my wife works in a senior center, Alzheimer's unit. last month covid hit them and they lost 9 out of 32 in her unit.
I'm grateful about our outcome, in retrospect we have nothing to complain about.

we had both vaccines, she had 2 boosters, me only 1. her covid was worse than mine, it doesn't seem to follow any set rules.

Your right about that. My wife has had tons of boosters and stuff and she had it early in the covid time line and hasn't had it since. I had the first shot and never got a booster and made it all the way till now.

No rules on how it works, for sure

That's no joke! Seems like most I know who get covid are vaccinated and boosted. I think it has more to do with how robust one's immune system is. Whatever, nasty business it is!
