the engine in my 89 is out of a 92 ranger. Inthrow a code for engine temp sensor. I cannot for the life of me find where it is. I can see the temp SENDER but not the SENSOR that has the actual plug. And help would be greatly appreciated!

On the 2.3l the ECT sensor will be at the front top of the engine, 2 wire 5volt
Can be on a heater hose in some years, uses a metal bung with rubber heater hoses on each end

Temp sender, for dash temp gauge is 1 wire, 12volt, drivers side rear near oil pressure switch
