Yes, it would lean in that direction.

You should see where intake manifold gasket was leaking coolant, it can only leak at the 4 corners assuming lower intake casting is not cracked at a coolant passage

A head gasket can just leak coolant out around its edges, its unusual but not unheard of

From the picture the leak had to have been spraying out, so under pressure after warm up, to get that much coverage in the valley

Well, it was a new gasket with only 200 miles on it, so there is no tear or anything. One of the ports certainly has more coolant around its edges than the others that's for sure. Hard to tell.

Let me ask you this, was I supposed to use RTV on the gasket itself? I only used it on the front and back of the block where the gasket doesn't cover. Seems to me if there was a minor imperfection RTV would have helped to seal anyways.

I don't have a machinist straight edge, so I'll have to hunt one down or hit the machine shop.

I always use RTV on lower intake coolant passages, on both sides of the gasket, but a light coat

I am starting to think that is the whole issue, and the water pump failure and "brief" overheat had nothing to do with the coolant in the oil. The LIM could also be warped. Who knows how many times it was overheated on other engines in its past.

More questions, provided this is simply a check the UIM and put back together kinda deal, I need to flush that coolant out of the engine. How should I go about doing that?

Just soak up as much as you can with towels/rags
Then with oil drain plug still out pour a 20w or 30w oil over where the coolant was to push it out as much as possible and let it drain out

The coolant remaining will turn to "steam" and be pulled out by PCV system once engine warms up a few times
I would plan on changing the oil again after a week or two, so just use a 30w oil not a more expensive oil when you refill this time

For lack of anything else I could find tonight, I used a buddies architect straight edge. Not sure of the tolerances on those, but the LIM looked good with that thing.

Id have a machine shop look at it. Thats ALOT of coolant to come through a bad gasket.

So I guess this means no TDI swap to follow along on...

If it keeps giving you problems... you know what to do.
