I have a 92 4.0ohv Ranger with an old R12 ac set-up. Option one is to convert the system to R134-change compressor oil and ac fittings. The second option is to convert the entire system. I live in a wrecking yard paradise that has tons of 94 Explorers, so parts are affordable. What parts do I need to take to convert the system to an R134 system-compressor and what else; is it worth it?
My current system is completely empty, and I plan on changing all the o-rings if this matters. I know I can just get it filled with R12, but that is not the route I want to take.
Which option would you recommend and why? Thanks
