I could not pass this up for a buck. It smells terrible, by the way.

For a dollar? I don't think any of us would pass that up. My dad used to have a bottle of that stuff, it was empty as I recall. I don't think I still have it any more.

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
If it smells that bad. Put it on your cooler and kitchen box to keep bears and raccoons away from your food while camping.

Nah, you are are not old enough yet to be in the age bracket I think of when I smell it.

I found a Quick-Lite lantern!!! I'm guessing that this was made in May 1925 based on the text on the vent and the 5 5 stamp on the fount. It is in very rough shape and missing the fuel cap, pump assembly, and globe. There is really not much chance of fixing this one so I will probably just let it hang on my porch.

Unfortunately this one will never run again but it still looks cool!

I finally got a big hat!

It was my FIL's, he gave it to me. Needed nothing but fuel, pressure and a light

Also finally snagged a case for my 533:

Also finally fueled and lit the thing. Runs like a new one!

So, I had something done. Hope to get a picture of them burning one night this weekend. Meant to do it tonight. But forgot. And now that I'm in bed, I'm not getting out just to do that.
