Cool find... don't believe I've ever seen one like it.
I actually just found out about them in a facebook group today.

And then of course the same day Shran turns one up. :icon_rofl:

That looks like scrapple.

I learned about pork roll when i went to the beach in NJ every summer in high school. I loved getting lunch at the Taylor pork roll place on the boardwalk.

Don’t confuse pork roll with spam... spam sucks. Pork roll, egg, cheese, and hash brown (salt, pepper, ketchup) is the greatest breakfast sandwich ever.

I wonder if I have had that.

We do a tractor ride every year to a museum that cooks a buffett breakfast for us (not this year) and they have some kind of non-bbq meatloaf thing there. I have never asked for the name but I bet it is a spin on your pork roll. I think they might use bread or something instead of hash browns though.

Craigslist score from yesterday - this super cool metal lantern case. It came with a beat up '72 220F lantern for $20. I think I'll part ways with the lantern and use the case for one of mine. From what I have read these were made in the 70's, probably 70-76. I saw some pics of it before I bought it and thought it looked kinda cheesy but it's actually super sturdy, very well made.

Looks like it was made to fit many sizes of lanterns - I imagine all of my 220s will fit plus the little ones. Not sure on the 228, I think the vent is too big.

Pardon the first picture, the normal camera on my phone has a cracked lens so I have to take pics in wide angle mode. The case is not nearly as big as it appears.

Dang, that would be nice. One of the bummers on the cool old lanterns (that 200A you got me included) is they don't fit in currently available cases.

I inquired on a barn find low vent 200A on facebook yesterday listed as a package deal with two other lanterns for $100. It was a complete dirt ball, guy wanted $75 for it. It would have fit in my CL2 Case. I passed.

The metal funnel is worth about what you paid for the whole thing...

What kind of shape is the lantern in?
Looks like it is shaped like a lantern...

Definitely lantern shaped 😂😂

It looks like the accessory hatch, not pictured, was full of water at one point and rusted the bottom lip of the fount. Paint flaking off everywhere, the pump leather is a little quirky, frame is kinda rusty and it did a big fireball show when I first lit it. It works though and I had it running for about 4 hours last night while I was working outside. I have another much nicer 220F of the same year so I think this one's gotta go.

Evaporust is like magic on frames.

This is the same frame, what was left rinsed off with the garden hose:

I'll have to try the evaporust. My buddy used it on his Detroit Locker that got wet, worked good. Does it remove paint?
