Clutch slave bleeding with white paste coming out?

I recently installed a new clutch and slave. I initially did a gravity bleed and that seemed to work okay but the clutch was engaging closer to the floor than I was used to. After driving it a while like that I bled it again with the clutch pedal depressed to build up pressure in the slave. I did initially get a little air out, then it became a steady stream of brake fluid along with quite a bit of white paste. It is a lot like plumbers Teflon paste used for threaded fittings. I can take the paste and rub it between my finger and thumb and it feels slippery and gets very thin and becomes clear like Teflon paste does.

Has anyone experienced this kind of thing? It is a Sachs slave and I am thinking they used Teflon paste as an assembly aid and initial lubrication. If that is true, someone must have gotten carried away and put too much in it. Any other ideas? Should I be concerned about it?

I am thinking I should continue bleeding it until no more paste comes out, but maybe it is supposed to be in there?

Sounds like an assembly lube. I really doubt that it would be pipe dope. Probably a good idea to try to get it flushed out as best as you can. Though its. A noncompressible fluid, the viscosity is wrong. Maybe that was affecting your clutch operation.

I agree, it is doubtful it is pipe dope. I was just using that as a description of what it is like. So far, getting that little bit of air and some of the paste out has improved the engagement position. I will drive it some more and if I am still not happy with it, I will bleed it again.

You sure you just didn't get it a lil excited while you were "bleeding" it?

I may be a Chemist but that doesn't mean I shoot PTFE. Besides, at my age it takes more than that to get me a lil excited.
