The shop manual just says "It provides a fuel control signal to the EEC system".

Something tells me it is there to tell the computer to cut back fuel just a hair.

Have you checked fuel pressures?

If you suspect the switch itself is sending faulty information get a jumper, plug it in, and see if it still happens.

i don't think you have to jump it if you look at the bottom of the switch the wire contacts are lined up front to back fuel cruise clutch safety. and this clutch master is brand new and the safety didn't work out of the package

My post made perfect sense. It just assumed you had a somewhat higher level of familiarity than you do.

Let me spell it out a little more:

Go to the junk yard. Find a truck from 88 to 92 with an automatic transmission. Look under the dash about where the clutch switch would be. There will be a rectangular grey plug cap. Take the cap, plug it in to your truck in place of your clutch switch. Start the truck as you would normally. See if your issue still exists.
