For a while now I've had an intermittent shifting issue. Sometimes it'll shift 'like buttah' and others, like just now actually, I have to double-clutch, and it'll 'sorta' go into gear easily. Doesn't matter engine temp/ ambient temp/ whatever variable is out there.

I'll step on the clutch and eventually the rpm's settle down enough to slide into gear. I say eventually, usually 5 seconds or more after I depress the clutch pedal.

Now, whadaya all say my issue is? I'm thinkin' the slave cylinder. And if I'm replacing that, I might as well change the clutch and master too. Any advice?

Part of your issue might be that your RPM's are hanging, thatcan make shifting difficult.

Check the fluid level in your transmission.

Any idea what would cause that?

Checked the tranny fill level last summer when I was having this problem. It was fine, along with clutch fluid. I'll check it again though, just to make sure

could be a dry pilot bearing which would be serviced during a clutch job.

if the clutch pedal feels normal i would suspect that or a warped pressure plate or broken pressure plate spring
