I was driving home last night and the right side of my HVAC control knobs were dark; the fan speeds were illuminated while the temperature knob was largely not, and the AC/fan knob was completely dark.

From what I can glean from YouTube, there are two tiny bulbs located directly behind the climate controls, so I'm guessing the right side bulb failed.

What I can't get a straight answer for from YouTube is the bulb size/type for my year, and a forum search didn't yield anything either... I drive a 2010. I'd like to have the correct bulbs on hand before I go pulling the whole radio bezel off. If possible I'd like to just go ahead and replace these bulbs with LEDs and be done with it.

It doesn't *look* like there's much variance in the climate controls or indeed much of the whole dash/cluster/stereo bezel for a lot of these trucks, but if I don't ask and just act on the first bulb number I see, it'll be the wrong one... As that was what happened when I replaced the cabin dome light. Thanks for reading!

Think those may be T10mm Bulbs, .3Watt Sylvania#161 or 4Watt Sylvania#194
Don't use higher wattage bulbs; they'll melt the surrounding plastic.
At least these are what's used in that AC Control panel in my much older 2001 AC Panel.
Likely want to clean & tighten the socket pins, & check the new bulbs with an ohm meter before installing them.
I'm not a fan of LEDs for replacing the Dash+InstrumentCluster Bulbs

So I replaced the bulbs today. They're *tiny*! Sylvania 2723. I opted for the 2.3W vs their 1.2W counterparts, I figured I'd risk the extra W 😂 I guess they downsized the bulbs sometime after '01.

All is well now; plenty of light from my HVAC controls.
