Someone please help me out here...

I have been searching for nearly a month on and off, but now I'm starting to get agitated beyond all hell because I REALLY want to get my tonneau installed as soon as possible

I can't find a set of clamps to hold down my Lund Genesis snap cover anywhere. I don't know if it's because I suck at searching around online for them, or if I am trying the wrong keywords, or even if the damn things aren't available unless I buy a brand new cover (which is pointless, I already have one).

The guy I bought if off of said he used normal c-clamps, but I don't see how. The channel that the clamp would slide into isn't big enough to allow them to sit there. I know I've seen these kind of clamps, but WHERE THE HELL ARE THEY WHEN I NEED THEM!

I'm nearly at my wit's end on this...

(also, I'd like to be able to find a plastic corner piece that holds the aluminum rails together...)

Maybe... I don't want to battle with the bidding already going on though.

Any other styles of clamps out there?

Btw, Thank you for getting back an answer that quickly!

Here's the profile shot of the rails for the tonneau cover.

Bump... Anyone know about the clamps I'm referring to, and where to get them?

That's a really small channel...does the slanted side go on the outer edge of the truck and the clamping side is on the inside towards the bed?

I actually have two different types: one for the tonneau rail I had and one for a cap...but I don't think either one would fit into that slot...the ones for my tonneau cover screwed into a sliding part that fit inside the channel itself, but they were angled so that the rail sat flat on the bed...

You might look into the above suggestions though...or consider drilling through and into the bed...which is not always a good idea...unless you prepare the holes properly it opens up the rust factor...

Drilling my bed rails will be the last thing to happen. I haven't contacted the manufacturer yet, but I don't see how come I can't just find a few of those clamps for sale separately on their site. It makes no sense to me.

The guy who I bought it off of just used regular 3" c-clamps on it. I don't see why though, he was only clamping on the outside of the rail right above that pillar in the middle. I haven't found any truck accessory stores around here. It's an hour and fifteen minute drive to the nearest one that I KNOW of, but closer than that I'm not sure.

I was posting here as a last resort to driving all that distance just for these.

I have to say I've never seen a cover that had rails like that... mine have that profile on the edge but theres a flat piece of metal that runs out towards the inside of the bed that you put the clamps on... when I got my cover (used), the guy gave me a couple of clamps that kinda looked like a C-clamp, but after fighting with them once or twice I pulled out the clamps for my cap and used those (you tighten a bolt from the top instead of fighting with a C-clamp upside-down). Not really sure what to suggest for your problem though...

I'd look an see if there's any RV dealers near you or any places that sell stuff like truck caps and toolboxes (the places that are geared more towards work trucks rather than the glitzy accessory shops) an see if any of those could help.

I had special c-clamps come with my tonneau cover when I bought my truck (it was an extang cover), and I could never find replacements for them except through Extang.
