Just wondered if anyone has removed the chuck from a Milwaukee drill. I would like to remove the chuck from a Milwaukee 1/2" magnum hole-shooter.

I've removed chucks from other brands which lock the chuck with a left-hand Phillips screw. This Milwaukee chuck is locked with a socket head screw (1/4" hex) and does not want to come loose.

Could be Milwaukee used locktight on the lock screw BUT i just don't know.

Try using a soldering iron on the 1/4" socket head lock screw as this will soften up the locktite so you can remove the socket head lock screw so you can unscrew the drill chuck.
