I'm looking to get rid of some of the shiny bits on a car and was curious if anybody has done this with any "do's & don'ts". I'm confident in my skills, just wondering what brands to get/stay away from. 3M is always a good brand, but usually the most expensive. I don't mind spending more for a better product. I don't want to go too cheap and be peeling it off in 6 months. ford charges almost $1500 for a Ranger Blackout, on a truck that already has minimum chrome parts. So I want to do it A LOT cheaper than that. I figure around $150-200 in supplies and my time at $60/per hour @ 2-3 hours of actual work time puts me under $500.
Right now, I'm looking at satin black and/or Carbon Fiber 3D print.
