Cheap spark plug wire arc.

I wonder if the arcing hurt the coil pack any.

Truck still runs fine so Im guessing not... not gonna drive it till the new wires come in though.

As long as the spark releases it shouldn't hurt the coil pack. I did have one coil die when a plug wire popped off and had no where for the spark to go to. This was a single coil set up on a 4 cylinder and not coil packs though.

A slight misfire on a wire shouldnt hurt the coil at all. If a wire comes off the coil like Bgunner said, that can cause a coil to get a burn spot that can misfire even after you reinstall the wire. If it still runs fine, the coil is ok.

Just put some rubber in between the wires. I'm shocked you haven't thought of that

I seperated them, but the damage is done to the wires so im not trying to salvage them. I got wire separators for the new motorcraft wires.

I got zapped by a MSD 7 series ign system once. I was adjusting the timing on a car at the track and as soon as I put my hand on the top of the distributor it felt like someone stabbed me. My arm went numb and dropped like a sack of potatoes. I took almost a week before I could feel anything or move my arm. (I’m completely exaggerating, it was less then a minute but it felt like an eternity...)
