Changing timing belt. What seals do I need?

I’m changing my timing belt, I’m confused about which seals I should change while I’m in there?

Is it crankshaft, camshaft and front Auxiliary seal?

the grey-t escape
no seals need to be replaced when doing a timing belt, I would recommend putting on a new water pump & thermostat while your doing this project.

If there are no oil leaks in the front then just replace the belt
You can replace the Crank sensor but its a pain to run the wires in a 1994(1989-1994) and if its working then I would just leave it alone

There is a Belt guide(large keyed washer) on the front of the crank gear, that you may need to remove to get the old belt off(assuming its not broken, lol) and new belt in
You have to remove crank sensor and its bracket to do that, and don't forget to put it back on, the belt guide, or belt WILL "walk off" the other gears

There is a tool to realign the crank sensor, but you can usually use a feeler gauge or just common sense to realign it so it doesn't rub/touch the Vane on the back of the hub assembly as it rotates

I know they don’t have to be changed but I’ve been told I might as well while I’m doing it.

I just am not sure the names of the ones I need. Crankshaft, camshaft and is the third “auxiliary shaft oil seal”?

Yes the 3rd one is the auxiliary shaft seal. It's the center gear that drives the oil pump.

And to answer your question, the 2.3l tensioner works great, lol, joking

There are a few videos on how to remove it and replace it

there are videos on YouTube that explain it better than I could, but it’s not complicated.

if you can’t find anything that helps you let me know and I’ll see if I can find some of the links videos that I watched.

The tensioner is simple to use, the pivot bolt and the other bolt both hold it tight, loosen both and it'll flop over to it's extreme, stick a pry bar or claw hammer (that's what I've been using lately) between the spring and the pulley and pry it back to the other extreme or as far as you can get it then tighten just the short bolt. Now put the timing belt on and line up the marks, then loosen the small bolt. Now turn the crank two revolutions until the marks line up again to verify everything is in time now tighten both bolts then reassemble.
