So I have a nice B2500, but one thing that bugs me is that the center armrest on the 60/40 seat is missing (I guess) a spring as part of the release button assembly. The top closes fine, stays latched fine, but if I push the button in to release the top...it doesn't pop back out. I have to fish a key in there to manually move it back out.

I'm guessing a spring is missing, but after taking it apart it's not apparent how it would work.

Help?

I have bucket seats. If you don't get any better answers from someone with or who knows about that console you can go to a junkyard- U-Pull-It or whatever is nearby where you live- and look at one. The place I go costs $2 to enter. Chances are you can find one that works correctly, and then just see what it has that you don't. Get the parts you need or take the whole assembly if you want- it will probably only cost you a couple bucks.
